I'm assuming you are using relays at the rear main power/ground to control it? Otherwise you would still be flowing the full current through the switch and it would be pointless to run a main power and ground to the rear.

Right, like a relay box in the back with room for 4-6 relays or something like that, just so that if you are going to go through the trouble of routing cables, you only do it once, and then if you decide to add something else to the back of the truck, you just throw in another relay and wire up your accessory.

That makes sense to me. I don't see why it wouldn't work and that's a good way to do it if you have several things in the rear to power and control in my opinion. Good idea!

Here's sort of a mockup of what I was thinking but in the real scenario there would be something like a 6 slot relay bank in the bank (several things I have planned already, plus room for future expansion).

Sounds like a good plan, same as wiring a sound amp. Size main fuse for wire size, size branch fuses for each load.

That's better! That's about what I had pictured in my head. If it were me, I would use the main ground wire for the relay grounds rather than run the relay ground all the way back up front to the battery. I'd run an inline fuse by the battery on the main power cable to the rear similar to if you were powering an amplifier.

How do I go about cleaning the inside of the engine bay? I've been slowly detailing my 4runner and the engine bay is the last thing, but I am scared to spray water in there even though I've read that it's perfectly fine. My dream is to keep this baby fully stock and looking brand new.

Is there a consensus on what the best AT tire is for mostly highway, limited off road that won’t make too much noise?

Anyone ever removed this faux wood stuff? I hate the look of it and actually replaced my climate control panel because I marred up the original so badly trying to remove it. So, any tips for how to remove it without ruining my dash?

Hello all I just got a 1998 Toyota 4 runner sr5 today and it seems to be leaking oil when it is running and only when it’s running I checked the oil cooler but that looks completely dry
Any help would be appreciated!

Get yourself a good heat gun. That's clearly aftermarket there and I'm right there with you on the faux wood. It's gonna be some glue residue and once heated up everything should come off cleanly but you'll have to scrape and pull off remaining stuff. Take some soap and water to it at the end and that should really clean things up. Good luck and hope this helps.

The OEM front skid off an 01-02 will fit a 99-00, right? Looove how they look and wouldn't mind a little protection around there

Looks like the front skid plate takes 7 bolts. Mine only had 4 when I got it. I had to remove for radiator swap. Just got the rear two bolts back in, having trouble with the other two..

how many bolts does the front skid plate truly need?
