I was the only one that made it to work today and all my clients cancelled....

I had the same issue. My boss said" I know you would at least be the one person to show up for work in that beast"

I wanted to call in today just to play in the snow and wheel.

Seriously... thanks for going to work today - I'm not joking. It says so much about your character and resolve when you go to work on a day like this. I hate working with people who always try to find any excuse to get out of work. This one girl I work with called in sick 9 days in a row just when the entire company was transitioning with a major software change. This girl was seen out drinking on nights when she was supposed to be sick. This all went down in the past two weeks. Let's just say that this girl is no longer employed by us.

I don't think I have ever called in sick or not shown up to work in my life.

See the thread title had me curious- CLASSIC!!!
I had the same problem yesterday as my wife sent me to the store twice!

Note: 2 blizzards and over 6 feet in the last month.

My brother in law and I went for a 5 hours dirt bike ride today. It was fun. You poor suckers with all the cold snow.

Being in Idaho it's not supposed to be this warm. Maybe Yellowstone exploded and it's the volcano that's causing all this hear in idaho. Idk.... LOL!

I remember when i used to work as an insurance adjuster. I was one of the few who child make it in when bad weather hit. Problem was we would get more claims from more wrecks and fewer people there to handle them. It was hellish.

I drove into work (about 22 miles) yesterday over several inches of hard packed ice in my 1997 2WD Runner. Dicey, wishing it had 4WD or a least a locker, a good deal of the way. Hardest part was getting out of the convenience store parking lot after snagging a cup of coffee. But I made it relatively pucker free.

My son, owner of a Jeep Wrangler, decided to stay home from work. What is it with kids today? lol

I do applaud his desire to be safe. A man has to know his limitations, however I wish that I could remember more of mine. Relearning them is a pain sometimes.

I'm a reformed Jeep owner. I've owned a CJ5, TJ with stock 6cyl, and a TJ Rubicon with a LS1 with an NV4500....all three of them sucked in the snow. I think its due to their short wheel base. Anyway....I'm So much happier with my Toyota...just wished I'd changed over sooner!!

You should step up to a 4x4 also...so you can go wheeling with your son...heck, someone has to pull your son's Jeep out when he gets stuck...lol!!
