The LFD Off Road Thread

I sent two tickets in from the contact us link on your website.

I do not have the numbers but the first one was asking if the bolts I have for the 3 LFD bars I have on my stock rails will work on your side rails and if not how do I go about getting bolts that will work

The second was asking about my order as I am supposed to pick up a RTT tomorrow and was hoping to have the rack on before then.

Glad you are all ok.

Sorry, I was looking for emails. Looks like we answered your latest ticket on the 11th. We have noticed that our website's automated notification emails have been weird the past few days, so you may not have gotten the notification that we answered the ticket.

Sorry for the confusion. Phil's sending you your tracking numbers now.

That must be it. I just got the tracking number. Thank you.

Sorry to hear that. How have you been reaching out? I haven't seen any unanswered emails that I'm aware of.

ETA pretty sure I found your order, it is in the stack shipping today. Our shipping queue runs around a week for in stock items. I don't see any emails in our system though still. What address did you send them to?

Having similar issue; received confirmation from Phil Sandlof of my paid confirmed order. I have messaged Phil twice to confirm if my crossbars shipped and still awaiting reply.

I sent another ticket #1910 requesting confirmation if crossbars have been shipped; LFD/Phil please help. Thank you!

Where have you been submitting messages to Phil? I only see one ticket in our system, number 1910 you just referred to. If you've been emailing Phil directly, he's been out of the office the past few days on vacation.

We've been running around a week in the shipping queue, looking at your order date you should be coming up in the shipping queue around today.

Emailed Phil directly; didn't know he was on vacation and no auto reply indicating he was out. Phil did reply today and took care of shipping my order; thank you!

What’s the turnaround/lead time on the standard (stainless steel) Black powder coated cross bars and wind fairing for stock factory roof rail—these here:

http://lfdoffroad.com/catalog/toyota/5th-gen/crossbars-5th/ruggedized-crossbar-5th-gen

Says “can be backordered”.

I know these are extraordinary times, just trying to get an idea.

Thanks!

thanks for a super fast turn around by the LFD team. A great group of guys! It helps I live only a few minutes away from them.

Do you have to cut the original rear bumper to fill in the small section under the taillights?

with the no cutting not far behind, the cutting will take some patience.

I will ask for help on the second as the first by myself was a bit of a bear but I got it on and secured quickly once those first few bolts in. I'll take that challenge for the second maybe tomorrow.

installed bumpers

Here's picture with both bumpers installed and plastic bumper covers cut and put back on. the white is a limited and bumper is different but cut it and re-installed in less than 30 minutes after spending well over an hour on the silver one first.

yes we will have the white bumper powder coated again to get the color closer to matching.

first swing arm installed. second one had an issue with power coating and will be back next week.

here they are together now with tire installed on swing arm. Once the tire was installed suspension dropped a total of 1.5" on drivers side compared to passenger side. Have medium springs installed now and have heavier springs on the way. the white one dropped .75" on both sides after installing the bumper.

trim arrives today to clean up the appearance of the cut lines. will post another picture with both are done later today.

eying this 5th Gen 4Runner Front Bumper - Full Replacement 2014+ TRD Pro Grille

considering everything, how long before something like this can ship?

Has anyone mounted kayak carriers to the LFD Off Road Ruggedized Crossbars? Most carriers I find have the clamp on system designed for square, round, or aero bars. Wondering if anyone has bolted directly to the LFD crossbars?

Thanks so much to the LFD guys! Got my order timely, well boxed, beautifully made crossbars for the stock rails, fit and finish is great and a few little details here and there that make install simple and non-maddening. Even with OCD on the spacing of bars and having to remove the fairing once (I have weird hands) still took just one tool (any 5mm Allen) and 30 minutes (max). Great great stuff

Yep, lots of people using the clamp on accessories with our crossbars. A lot of them work with no or very minimal modification.
