the plan for my lift--will this work out?

hey guys,

i plan on lifting the truck early 2012.

My plan:

- OME Medium Duty Kit

- These rims: Ultra Goliath Machined w/Black Accent

- and 275/70/17 BFG AT

now my question is will this all fit nicely? I have read some things where some people with this tire size had to trim while others didn't. I do not want to have to trim so i am trying my best to find a setup that will not require trimming. Thanks in advance.

Looks good to me. Those tires should fit fine, but will require some minor trimming. Also, unless you plan on adding weight to the rear, I would advise you to use Toytec super flex rear coils instead of the ome, ride quality will be substantially better.

What OME spring numbers are for the "medium" kit (895e, 895, 896, ?). I have the Toytec superflex coils which are 10% stiffer then stock and IMO they are somewhat on the firm side with the OME shocks. The regular 895 rear spring is 40% stiffer and would be very firm without extra weight in the rear.

I have that size tire with Duratracs and OME and didn't have to trim, I do have a little rubbing on the inside but that's because my UCA's need some adjustment.

so you guys are suggesting i go with the OME medium duty kit, including rear shocks, but instead of the OME rear coils, use the Toytec coils? any idea on the price difference? thanks for the help guys.

Yes, the coils are the same price. You can buy a kit from Toytec that includes those coils with the ome fronts.

Thanks. Also, can a wheel spacer be used as opposed to the minor trimming you mentioned? Or will this just create more issues?

Wheel spacers will solve rubbing on the uca that's causes by wider tires, but cause more rubbing everywhere else.

haha ok thanks. and i hate to be a PITA but the wheels i have a link to say:

Size: 17x8
Offset: 25mm
Backspacing: 5.47"

from what I understand, these wheels will stick out a bit further than the stock 17' rims. will this solve the rubbing on the uca? or am i way off and they do not stick out further? again, sorry to be a PITA lol
