The POOR RUNNER

The little things in life that make you happy..... and change your driving experience. Pioneer avh-4100nex I picked up for $200 brand new today. Of course I have it wired so I can watch DVD's while truck is in motion. First picture is what I had and second is the new, and also upgraded my lighter light

Looks good. Just curious, does the low position of the radio (I.e. Where it sits in the dash) make it difficult to use the touch screen?

My first 3rd gen

Thanks man. I hail from Beaverton. I plan on making some pretty significant upgrades to make this thing unique. As for the grill i dont know what to do with it and i plan on projector headlights with LED bulbs

I never saw your reply, cause my notifications are broken [emoji37]
I personally love the stock grills color matched, but most guys here are pretty horny for the "satoshi".
Good call on the projectors. LED technology for headlights is still pretty shitty when it comes to actually throwing light very far, but some guys are okay with it.
I haven't installed them yet, but I used the new Morimoto D2S 4.0 on mine, and they're pretty insane with a good lamp!

I'd be happy to help if you have any questions about them!
It was good to meet you the other day, and let me know if you have any other custom sticker needs- I'll get you taken care of [emoji1360] Did the white flag fit good anywhere on the HD?

Turned out really well. Definitely want to do the retrofit

great price! wow. I got mine for 6k and a spare set of wheels/tires, down from 6900. I'm not too disappointed, it has some great mods already (OME lift, bils shocks, tundra brakes) but i still think i could have done better haha

This particular deck has a tilt mode so I can tilt it up and it works fine.... it also has a remote so I don't need to take my eyes off the road. Oregon just passed that no cell phone law. Basically if you touch your phone and they see you do it the write you a $240 ticket. This deck has android auto so all my calls and texts get routed through the speakers. Well worth the money.

Well I was under my truck today re wiring some lights and I looked up and noticed that my passenger CV boot was ripped. Looks like I get to address this issue when I do my lift in a couple of weeks. Damn you!

Got new tires today that should hold me over until lift time. I plan on getting either 285 or 315 after lift.

Lift

So I think I have narrowed down what I am going to be doing with the lift but want to make sure. I have already researched the hell out of the frequently asked lift questions so no need to point me in that direction.

This is what I am thinking. I want 3-4 inches of lift
1. Front
00-06 Tundra trd springs/ Yellow Yellow and yellow blue
Bilstein tundra 5100's on the third perch with tundra isolators

2. Rear
LC 8 wraps
Bilstein 5125's
I feel like this should work but have zero experience in lifting a 3rd gen so any advice would be awesome. Also if you have this set up with pictures it would be cool. Thanks

I installed a Viper auto start security system last week and it has been nothing but amazing. So nice to warm the truck up before I hop in and leave for school. I also am in the process of finishing my system install.

My only suggestion to you is get your front coils and struts assembled from wherever you purchase (wheelersoffroad, toytec). I put my first lift on a few months ago(similar set up but landcruiser tokico rear shocks) and used coil compressors I rented from autozone...it made me extremely uncomfortable because I know how deadly stored kinetic energy can be. I think you can have wheelers do it for 80$.. it’s good insurance. Everything else will go by relatively smoothly... there are lots of Timmy the toolman videos to help with the process.

I’ve got 3” in the front and a little over 4” in the back! Can’t go wrong with lc 8 wraps!
