The POOR RUNNER

I sold my first gen in June of 2015 and took a year off from having a runner. I got the urge to have another 4runner in my life about 6 months ago and have always wanted a 3rd gen. So I searched and searched looking for the "one" when I finally found something decent enough for me to pay for. I found a 2000 limited with a first gen supercharger and hood scoop. I always liked the way hood scoops looked on 3rd gens so this was a no brainer that I needed it. Dude wanted $7000 and I got him down to $5200. She has 265000 with a clear title. I think she came with a lift but I haven't looked yet, seems to be maybe 2 inches. More to come in the future but I have a solid platform to start over. Any advice on best lift set ups, bumpers, interior, engine upgrades, or anything else is greatly appreciated.

I spent the first few weeks of owning this upgrading the interior lights to LED, replacing the driver door power lock actuator, plasti dipping the front grill and emblems, and scrounging up missing parts like the cargo cover and rear seat headrests. I plan on doing a supercharger rebuild and adding the URD 7th injector kit. From what I have read on here I plan on doing the deckplate mod instead of a CAI, and adding headers and a new exhaust.

Yeah, was that one on craigslist also? May be thinking of another one with out a super charger, can't recall now :(

But glad you are taking care of it :)
Yeah it was on CL. I looked at a few before I bought this one. People want insane amounts of money for a 15 to 21 year old truck. I can't believe it

My first 3rd gen

Nice rig! That grill would look amazing brought back to its color-matched glory ❤️
Don't know where you're at, but I'm in Sandy, and Chim is also in the area.
Cool to see another good looking local 3rd gen. There is a crazy amount of 3rd gens around here, but most just look like the "regular" 20yr old rigs they are [emoji12]

Thanks man. I hail from Beaverton. I plan on making some pretty significant upgrades to make this thing unique. As for the grill i dont know what to do with it and i plan on projector headlights with LED bulbs

I'm not sold on the bug shield but it hides the paint chips on the front of my hood

When I purchased mine, I was looking at two different ones. One was a super charger, 225K miles 3" lift for 10k. Second was the one I bought, listed at 13.5K talked him down to 11.5K. For what it has now and what it is, I feel like I got way out ahead. So happy with what I got. When I have a depressing day, the looks/and praise I get for my rig is tremendously helpful. And when I talked to Tommy Tran two years ago he told me what it cost him and it was 6K-8K to do what is done to mine. So I'm happy. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Glad you got one for a good deal!!

I never pay asking price. Haha. I talked Harley Davidson down on a 2015 bike in 2014, got it below cost.

Ugraded the rest of the gauge lights today. This is the slow time before the money comes..... then it's parts galore time.

Front suspension:
Toytec/Eibach front coils
Toyota tundra Bilstein 5100's

Rear Lift:
LC 8 Wraps
Bilstein 5125's

This set up gave me a solid 3 inches in the front and 5 or 4 inches in the rear depending on what stock height is for a 2000 limited. Rides a lot smoother than the spacer lift it used to have.
