The POOR RUNNER

Hell yeah man!
I wish the forum/app wasn't dumb, and actually gave me notifications for T4R! [emoji30]
Wheels and retrofits look great man. Did you end up painting the housings millennium silver, or just a generic silver? Hard to tell, but they look great. I wanna do another set painted thunder cloud. I like the chrome 'cause it looks the most factory, but I think color-matched would be sick.
Haven't had a chance to install the lift yet?! You need a garage and a hand to help or what? If it's worth the drive for you, we can use my place [emoji1360]

I worked on it yesterday, got the front done at my dad's shop and I'm finishing up the rear today. I painted the housings millennium silver to match my truck and they came out pretty damn good.

Got everything installed for my lift today. It was quite the process but I made it through. Got a little over 3" in the front and a definite 4" in the rear

Looking good man! You have been moving along at a pretty good clip. Is your wallet begging for mercy yet? How are those tires treating you on the highway in the rain? I bet the rig feels a bit different after the lift. Mine felt sort of like I was driving on stilts when I first installed mine. LOL.

My wallet is definitely begging for mercy. haha. The tires handle amazing in all weather conditions and the truck feels way better now that it's lifted.

Your not done yet! You mentioned swapping 8 wrap's, (LC 8 wrap?) for something with less rake, don't do it. LC 8 wraps with swingout bumper and cargo storage with 100# or so work great. And have for 100k miles, your stance was just like mine till I added more $$$$.

Yeah I'm going to keep it how it is for now. Maybe add a CBI bumper to even her out a bit.

I can't stop looking at it. I am very pleased with the way it came out

So I feel like I have gotten to the point in my build that I only have a few little things left to do. Next decent task will be the Tundra brake upgrade which doesn't look too difficult. After that I want to do the URD 7th injector and get a little more power out of the old girl. I have owned this truck for a little over 6 months and have put thousands of dollars into it. I feel like she needs something else to make her stand out in the crowd. Any suggestions from the wise members on here?

Took this today. I think the springs have settled a little bit in the rear.

Truck looks awesome man...I love the Toyo MTs.

I think a good Window Tint job would set your rig off. And maybe a TRD sticker.
That's next on my list also. I like to do small things like that when I'm coasting between bigger jobs.

I pulled the front coils off today and replaced the coil insulators. No more weird noises coming from the truck anymore. I am way more confident at higher speeds. I also replaced the rear wiper motor and arm. Wasn't that difficult at all. Also added 15 hp with the decal.

Picked up a scangauge 2 off ebay for $80 shipped. Like new so we shall see how good it works. Pictures to come once it's installed.

I upgraded the speakers in my runner over the weekend. I started by removing all the crappy paper door speakers. I had to cut the rear openings to accommodate the 6.5 inch speakers I purchased. After all the cutting was complete I used mesa mat to sound deaden the doors for the upgraded speakers. I plan on adding a JL Audio 300/4 for the door speakers but I don't have an extra $600 laying around at the moment.
Speakers I used:
Focal 165 A1 SG component speakers for the front
Focal ISC 165 for the rears

loving the build so far! where did you source your all your lift components? package deal or you had to get them all individually? Definitely like your set up and want to do something similar with my T4R

It's been a hot minute since I updated this. I will be ordering the URD 7th injector kit this week and installing it when I have the time. Should be interesting to see what kind of power she makes after installation.
