I have finally found some racing tires! They are currently in austin so a small road trip is in order. These should really aid in faster lap times, plus I can now say my 4runner is on race tires.

careful in the rain lol but that should hook up a lot better in the turns!

Don't worry these will only be used in track days. They do make hoosier rains which I may also consider picking up as I have raced in the rain at MSRH on street tires before. The mustang's not mine.

I had my friend alex at powerfab weld in my bung for my afr sensor. Install went well, it's not finished but I should finish it up later today.

Sadly the lotek gauge pod for the pillar will not work on a 4runner so I'm going to have to modify my stock one. No big deal really, but I'm still disappointed.

Thanks man. As far as the BNR33 goes I might have to do redneck financing but it will be worth it. As far as my truck goes I'm still waiting for TRD to start reselling the bbk. Also if anyone has a throttle body off a 2nd gen 1gr that they don't want let me know. URD released an adapter so you can run a bigger throttle body from the newer 1gr with dual vvti (70mm) to the 1st gen 1gr with single vvti (65mm). Also been racing a few more times recently and some local shops want to extend a sponsorship to me. I'm very excited about that! ]

Love these wheels man! Since you're the only 4th gen guy I've seen running these I had a question -

Do they line up flush w/ the outside fender? Hard to get a feel for the depth from the angle of those photos. I'm assuming these are 17x8s. How good is the UCA clearance?

Really appreciate any help!

I can't seem to get attached to them like I have with the stock wheels and I need to go to an 18in rim as they have more tires better suited to racing.

One of my friends might sell me one of her gopros since she now has the fancy 3 edition. until then I can either borrow one from my friends or just settle for the cell phone vids. This is a go pro vid from the my first time at a road course and this was the last heat of the day.

I'm kinda confused as to what these races are about. Looks like a ton of fun so I'm guessing your goal is just enjoy being on the track? The cars your up against are built for speed and the track. Either way I hope to see your Runner completely built doing one of these races soon.

Also been wondering if you do anything to reduce weight. Less gas, no other seats, remove spare tire, etc...

I just run my truck around the track, exercise different lines, speeds, etc. Only weight reductions I have done is drop the spare, skid plates, and the jack. I race with a full tank as by the end of the track session its empty.

I have been a gen 1/2/3 Type of guy, but this, along with other threads here, have got me thinking Gen 4 in the near future. :cheers:
