Just the Greddy adapter for the oil filter. I'm using an Earls wide oil cooler and lines.

A Greddy oil cooler would be super badass but also super expensive. I have not seen there oil coolers in person but if their intercoolers are anything to go by then they are very high quality.

awesome thread man, I hope to rear this level with my 3rd gen i know its a slouch now but im just looking to build it to there i can comfortably throw it into a turn, some addco sway bars and some billie's/ progressive springs are on the way!

thanks. I would also recommend going with wheels and tires that offer you a wider track. there are many things you can do to make it handle better but you will need a game plan on what you want to use the truck for and then take it from there.

This here was inspired by [MENTION=77471]kevinpt[/MENTION] as he put a gopro to view the rear axle. However the point of the vid was to show my friends in their tacomas with leaf springs that, imo, have excessive lateral axle moment when cornering on the track when compared to mine had none due to the 4runners lateral control arm.

other than that I need to save up for wheels and tires better suited to this kind of use.

Since the old battery was on its last legs I got a new lightweight battery.


New battery is 21 pounds.


Also got these beautiful aluminum sae terminals.



Now on to other ways to reduce weight. I'm thinking seats...

No I have not. I have been using the stock caliper with good results. URD now sells a bbk using a stoptech st40 unit with larger rotors for the sport/limited 4runners.

On mod updates I also received carbotech racing pads and stoptech slotted rotors. The pad itself is a full race pad, CT doesn't recommend it for daily driving use do to dust and noise but I don't care about either of those issues. Motul 660 dot 4 is also on the way. Might also do a few mods to the suspension, engine, and alignment for the race next week.

What'd you use to paint the intake manifold?

I was thinking just some of that rustoleum manifold paint, but it has this weird, cool texture that I really Like. Maybe I'll rebuild my engine just to paint the whole block red.

Yeah, less cool Alex, he painted the valve covers with a Ferrari red I believe
