Happy Saturday! I am stuck. I blew my alternator belt back in August on my '02, replaced all belts and alternator. My '02 alternator tension bolt has shifted towards the front of the engine bay every so slightly. I have broken two tension bolts. I had no idea this was the case on my last attempt, last night on number two. I only came to realize this today that the u-slot on the bracket did not align with the tension bolt and washer.
I haven't hit anything or done anything other than change the other two belts. the alternator do not have any room to be moved to drop the bolt into position.
How could/did this happen? And How do I fix this?
