Thinking about selling my 2011 T4R Trail Edition. It's an awesome vehicle but I'm finding it hard to put stuff in the back and haul things around. My Toyota Tacoma was great for this, but needed the "family" SUV. Now my better half is saying that we should have kept the Tacoma:gun6: It's not officially for sale just yet, but I wanted to post on here to judge how much interest it would generate. If it goes up for sale, it should be in the next two weeks, and I will post it here 1st.

Why not just get a trailer for those occasional times when you need more room.
I have a flatbed trailer that I use for HD trips, picking up large boxes, mulch, etc...so far to date it's worked out great!!
I've had pick up trucks my whole life, and going to an enclosed vehicle like this was a little chancy, but I don't feel that way anymore.

What are you trying to haul around that won't fit back there? If it's nothing too heavy, think about a full size roof rack (Baja, Gobi, et al.) or a cargo box (Thule, Yakima). Any of these options will cost you less than the depreciation hit on trading out of a one year old vehicle.
For trailers, my neighbor has a small 4 x 8 folding utility trailer. Folds in half for storage in his garage. Looks nice and compact, might be something to consider.
I don't have kids, so I run around with my back seats folded flat 90% of the time. I think there's a ton of room back there. I have my golf bag, soccer bag, air compressor, other odds n' ends, sometimes the dog, sometimes a hockey bag, and always room to spare.

I loved my 09 Taco. Dumped a pile of $$$ into it making it just how I wanted but once I finished that it lost it's "project" feel so I sold it to a buddy and picked up a TE 4runner. The 4runner is awesome and but sometimes I wish I had a truck for it's convenience factor plus now I have to start all over again with the mods. Just waiting on the goodies to show up!!

Don't get me wrong, I love the 4R-TE! It's the most capable 4wd I've ever owned. Maybe it's just the convenience of having the bed of a truck to throw things in or the curse that's been casted upon it. No joke. Ever since we bought it brand new from the time we filled out the paperwork (fighting with the dealership) (Toyota of Poway=Piss poor customer service, the jacka$$es) until today, there's been a black cloud following it. I took the thing in for service one day, and the service tech took it on a test drive and it got rear ended (very minor damage). Then I took it in and got it repaired only to have the body shop do a $hitty paint job. They did it over again, and a day later the lift gate gets a dent in it at the grocery store from some *********. I can't win with this thing!
So, enough of me venting about it. All in all it's a great vehicle and mama likes it, so I guess I have to live with it. But for the right price, it's going to be sold.

The time I missed trash pick up day and had to take the trash to the city drop off site only to have one of the bags tip over on the way which was full of shrimp and mussels shells was the day I wished I still had my taco. That SUCKED and took a good bit of washing out to get the new car smell bag lol. The 4runner was 3 days old at this point.
