Early v6s 03-04 have a headgasket issue that can cost a pretty penny. V8s have a cracked manifold that can be heard by a tick for all model years (someone correct me if I am wrong)

With that much miles it has to be around 5 thousand dollars.. If not id rather put in another 3k and get one with less miles just for a slight piece of mind. . She got her use out of it im sure she is flexible on price.

I know this is an old thread, but I bought my 03 Sport V8 4WD for $2800 with 208,000 and it drives like it is new. I put a 3" Rough Country lift on it and it rides smoother somehow. No lights or mechanical issues so far. Fingers Crossed!

I’ve had my 03 v6 4wd for quite some time now so I’ll add my experience for anyone curious. 230,000+ mi, still on the factory alternator, PS pump (been weeping for the past 3 years) PS rack, C.V. axles, wheel bearings, master cylinder, ball joints tie rods. Truck has been absolutely dead nuts reliable. The cats got ripped out and replaced with JBA headers a couple years ago so anticipate replacing cats. O2 sim took care of the CE light. Replaced the radiator a couple years ago because it had a small leak, while there I did the auto tensioner, idler pulleys and water pump. MAF sensor might be going out, she runs rich on cold starts but no dash lights. Burns a little over a qt of oil every 5k miles. Just pulled out a Ram from a water hole this morning. I don’t baby this truck. No signs of head gasket problems. I’ll buy another one if this one ever dies. It’s been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned over 15 different cars and trucks. Suspension seems a little tired, but other than that she’s still as tight as the day I bought her. :dancin:
