Am I being gullible or is that real. An SR5 with TE rockers and fender flares, and a 4cyl....?

Did these come with a 2.7.

Your 4WD swap 4th has me believing this is possible especially since I can find a 4cyl truck in Dallas, motor in OKC and there's a toyota ECU programmer in SA

Do it, it's not a hard conversion, aside from I know nothing about the transmission in the 4cyl

I was under the impression OP meant to swap the entire v8 engine/drivetrain over (hence picking the cheapest base chassis)? That's why I was saying the GX engine/drivetrain should realistically be the easiest to swap over since it's pretty much the same platform...

1) Why the hell didn't they just make the SR5 look like that in the US? Canada got it. Grrr.
2) I'd start with a high mileage TE if you are going through the hassle. 4WD swap sounds like it would be a pain in the butt.

TE 4Runner = $30k

TE 4R after swap = $3Xk (?)
