Just did this lift over the weekend. XREAS lines are super short you definitely need an extra set of hands.
I did everything the way it was written up and worked great. BTW, I was surprised on how smooth it felt driving it afterwards. I thought it was going to be more rough but was far from that. Worth the $120 I paid for the kit.

One concern he said is that it looks like my shocks may have a small leak. I told him I didn't have the money to do a full suspension kit, that I had to go with the cheaper route for now.
I'm thinking about calling the shop up and asking them to see how bad it is. If it's pretty bad, I may have to wait, and save up for a full suspension.
He said if the truck is still running smooth, then just keep an eye on it. It does still ride pretty smooth after 53000 miles.

Daystar leveling kit with stock 20s also did spidertraxx to make it stance a little nicer. Still rides like a dream to! Do it!

That looks perfect! Did you have to do some trimming after putting the Spidertrax spacers on there?

I bought wheels with offset so the offset with spacers put the tires almost into the body mount plate. So instead of doing the body mount chop I took them off. They're super great product though!

Just got my daystar lift on my limited. Looks so much better. I got it aligned and here were the readouts. Got the unlimited alignment at Firestone. So I'm not sure if this alignment is right. The front desk guy was trying to explain that the caster doesn't matter if it's not within "specs" and that these specs will make the wheel true and straight. What does everyone else think who are specialists with alignments unlike myself.

I have the TRD wheels on Toyo open country AT 265/70/17. I am wanting to pull the trigger on the daystar lift. My worry is that after I do, the wheels may look too small and am not interested in upsizing the tires anytime soon

Dirt pic is right after lift with stock size ko2s. Other pic is current. IMO they look small but to each their own.

I think with the TRD Wheels you could have went with a 275 because of their offset.
I had to go with 265/70/17 Falken WildPeak's with my SCS Ray10's. Even after the Daystar kit they still rubbed a good amount. I removed the front mudflaps, pushed the liner in about an inch and then used a heatgun to push the middle of the liner in some more.

I have a '17 limited with TRD Pro wheels (265/70/17). Looking to do the same lift (wife requested!!). Local guy here quoted the Revtek spacer kit (much more $$, but I think its all he's had experience with).
Yes, that is how it sits today. The nosedive issue has been greatly reduced after installing the DS leveling kit. I feel like it rides the same if not better after installing the kit.
I paid $115 for the DS kit on Amazon and installed it myself. You'll need an extra set of hands when doing the front.

How much trimming did the 285s require with the DS lift?
Hi! Trimming wasn't too bad at all, but I have the factory trail edition wheels so my offset is not as aggressive as some aftermarket rims.
I pushed the liner forward and trimmed the little plastic area that I circled (old pic for reference... obviously I'm not on the k02 any more). I didn't need to loose the little mudflaps but I'm running SPC upper control arms though and have 4+ deg of caster. Also, I custom cut my rocker panels (I have a LE) so it may be different on a trail or SR5.

I have a stock 16 LE, I'm looking to lift n level with the DS kit, switch to 17" TRDPro wheels, and the BFG KO2s (based on reviews and aesthetics). Thoughts?
The TRD pro wheels have a 0 offset so they'll poke out further for sure. The TRD pro is actually trimmed at the Port when they put the wheels on and they're only 265/70/17. With a 285 you'll def need to trim. I converted my front end to a SR5, so I never needed to trim the LE bumper but I imagine it's similar. iMO when we ran the 17s with 265 on the LE as pictured previously, it never looked quite right. Too small I think because of the big blocky front end.
Trimming is very easy with a sharp edge.
