Throttle Body rebuild Kit

Has anyone run across a Throttle Body rebuild Kit by chance? The flap is not closing all the way so I figure if I could find a rebuild kit that would be a fun evening project. Searched online and no luck so seeing if anyone else has tried. Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe buy a used one? I am betting the spring is worn out that closes the throttle body. Check with your local Toyota dealer, i bet the spring is less than 20 bucks.

yeah I am guessing the spring is worn also. do you think I can just replace that spring and be good?
yeah I am looking for a used one, watching classifieds but have not seen one yet also. I was about to buy one but then life came up, so now looking for another one.

yeah I know how the flap is not supposed to close all the way, but the the spring does not have the tension to close it to the appropriate amount. it already caused one sensor to go out. right now I am limping it along but want to fix it right soon.

I bet it's just the spring. It's a cheap part so it will be no big deal if that's not it. A throttle body is really simple, and I can't see it being anything other than a worn spring.

Make sure the Throttle Opener is receiving good vacuum and is disengaging. I had this problem and I was convinced the spring was shot. In fact, the silly vac hose was loose.

cool I will check the vac hoses tonight or tomorrow.

is there any good way to check them besides checking to make sure they are tight?

Just FYI Colorado springs Toyota dealer said they can't order just parts, they have to order the whole thing. 900+ for the unit.

I came across this thread trying to research the throttle opener. Durk (or anyone else), do you know how much it is supposed to compress when the throttle isn't open and the adjusting screw hits it? I've got a high idle (1200-1500) and in the process of eliminating possible causes
I noticed that when the throttle comes back to its starting position, the opener is not engaging, no matter what setting I adjust its screw (or my dash pot's screw) to. I have to physically engage the opener in to bring my idle where it should be. It disengages just fine. Vacuum lines are connected correctly and working properly.
I've had no luck so far researching the throttle opener anywhere online except for this thread. I've also considered the replacing the springs if they are not strong enough anymore to compress the throttle opener. IAV, Dash Pot. TPS, butterfly valve all working correctly.
