Thurs. Oct. 27 - Miller Jeep Trail Run

Don't be fooled by that ...it's only cause of two sections in particular sections 7 and 8 and there are only 9 sections 9 being the end of the trail at the top where one of the campgrounds are and 1 being just the start of the trail the other sections are a couple switch backs and a couple rock garden sections.
The two that make this trail technical are at 45-50 degree uphill climbs with a couple uneven boulder ledges along with deep ruts all around making your angle of approach and proper tire placement the big factor in being successful for the last parts of the trail.
You made white mountain you can make this I promise ...it's also one the original old school trails to be first labeled and mapped as a true 4wd trail ...back in the day.
And is still recognized and well respected as though, throughout the entire wheeling community, this trail gives you some off-road wheeling credit (like street credit) amongst true wheelers.

Also at the top there is a spot to post your rig up on that overlooks the entire valley that makes for one hell of a back drop for a "I conquered Miller Jeep Trail" glamour shots.

I've been wanting to rock this trail since I first encountered it going down ( I didn't finish because I didn't want to be the guy in everyone's way going down and I was alone and didn't see that as a good choice.)

I'm gonna disagree here. I ran White Mountain with you guys and ran Miller a couple weekends after. It's a lot worse than when I ran it a few years ago. The first switchbacks have a lot more sand now. Everything is way softer. The ledge near the end of the trail isn't that bad if you take the right line, but afterwards, it's a lot more run down and again soft.

If you're gonna try it, bring a guy with a winch, and lots of tow straps. I definitely don't suggest it.

Between now and the the start of the run there's a chance for .02 of rain. And at 17:00 the rain only says .03 at this time. It isn't supposed to be much till about 19:00. Based on the report at frazier park

I still think you're getting in over your heads, but I better see video of Miah conquering this shit. Would love to see what the dude with 2wd on TW that got stuck has to say about it. He got all bent out of shape on some guys and claimed he had more off road experience then half the people there.

The group that I went with to the 4WheelParts event this sunday at Gorman ran the Miller Jeep trail on saturday and they think that a locked 2wd with a good driver and some luck can conquer MJT with a few battle scars lol

Yeah, there's a lot of conflicting info however I've seen what he can and can't make first hand the last few months. Anything soft and loose, he's basically ****ed. If he can get a good run at it and there's grip, he's fine. Wish I could go for the fun, but I'm out about out of vacation time and what I have left I need for emergencies.

I feel like the only concern is going to Miah on some of the steep loose grades. Even then I'm not concerned. So far I'm only seeing 3 of us going. I wish I had a housing for my gopro on this trip
