Time to start fixing/upgrading

My '04 has 154k and has mostly been a street queen her whole life but I'm feeling the itch to change that. She will still be my daily driver but I want to play a little too, what should I start worrying/paying attention to? What I know so far is the rack has a little leak (very minor, like a couple drops where I park) and mechanic said keep an eye on fluid and fill as needed for the time 2-3 years. CV boots are starting to tear, when they go I'll probably upgrade but again mechanic said at least 2 years out. XREAS is job #1 with OME in mind and moma don't know fund almost complete [emoji56]. It is a Sport with full time 4wd transfer case but when I bought it the dealership was nice enough to pull the actuator to service it and decided to simply replace rather than rebuild it at over 10 hours labor [emoji12]. Still have 50k on timing belt, should I worry about coolant/radiator, tranny fluid, diff fluid, axle service etc...? I want to use her but also get another 100k-150k of good miles out of her.

Lets just say...

My 07 (V6) just rolled over 155k this month. Stuff done over the last 12 mos:
-Drained/filled ATF 3x: ~4 qts ea time
-Drained/filled Coolant (rad + engine block drains): 2 gals exactly
-Threw away Xreas, put on '14 FJ bils and springs
-Flushed PS fluid
-Flushed Brake fluid
-Changed all drive line fluids
-Grease driveline every oil change
-Change out paper air filters
-Wire brushed and Fluid Film any signs of rust
-Changed serpentine belt
-Changed spark plugs
-Replaced 1x axle
-Lube and inspect brake parts with every tire rotation

Moral: If you're thinking about it, just change/do it. Age and mileage start wear and tear on everything.

Simple maintenance items on these rigs will pay you back tremendously.

Wirebrushing surface rust and sealing the frame will pay dividends bigly.

That's the next project on my list. The truck came from Maryland, and there is some gnarly surface rust on the frame. As soon as I can get into a garage, or the weather cools down, there is going to be some serious brushing and painting.

Also I'd assume that at 154k it has had the timing belt replaced. If no record of it that is something I would place high on the priorities list.

i got mine at 04 v8 sport edition with 156k for 3700,2 a days later i found out why. lol BUT BUT on a brighter note i did find out my 90k service was done at toyota so im good there.

inner and outer tie rods
lower ball joints
transmission service
diff service
brake fluid bleed
new rotors and pads all around
upgrade fj springs and bilstein shocks
daystar spacers
my recharge on AC
new hood shocks
new rear wiper
coolant flush
PS flush
used front hub bearing assy
And i need new LEDs in my dash and climate control..
i might go ahead and do spark plugs also

i still need to do all this..

then i will do darker tint on the windows, new 2 way pager viper alarm, double din radio with blue tooth etc, all new tires, and projector retro fit...
