Timing chain guide question

Is it possible to replace them without having to remove EVERYTHING? The tensioners are making noise, the engine is new so I know it has a new timing chain, oil pump, etc.. but they used the old tensioners for whatever reason. Has that weird rattle sound coming from the front of the engine at idle. I want to replace them, but hoping to not have to remove EVERYTHING.

Thanks, do I need to remove the crank pulley and all that down there? That is what I was hoping to avoid.

The crank pulley is the least of your worries. I would be way more nervous about the head gasket if I was only unbolting the pan and cover.

Why be worried about the head gasket ?
You don't pull the head to replace the Timing Chain.

Exactly the point. Seperating the timing cover from the head can be pretty tough on the gasket. Only a concern if you don't feel comfortable using RTV to seal the gap between the cover and head gasket if you had to lop it off because it got munched up. I just thought I would give a heads up if someones main concern was removing the crank pulley.

Yes, you have to remove the pulley or you wont get the cover off.
