Don't waste your time trying to figure it out, timing chains don't need replaced in the v6. Timing belts in the v8 do. Carfax, dealer records, Toyota owners site just input the vin, or sometimes there is a Sticker in the engine bay for the v8's.
My mechanic is getting a code for a stretched timing chain on my 2006 v6 SR5. I have over 190,000 miles andhe iisn't keen on doing the job. He apparently doesn't appreciate how long these trucks can last lol. As a result I am looking for aan fair and experienced toyota mechanic in the New York/ New Jersey area. Any suggestions??
