Timing cover leak TSB follow up - how's it holding up?

Hey all! Did some digging on here and other forums before posting but couldn't come up with an answer to my specific question. I noticed my 05 started to develop an oil leak. Tracked it down and determined that it's most likely the infamous timing cover leak Toyota issued a TSB for. However, I signed up with Toyota's owners section, input my VIN and was able to access the service history of the vehicle, where I found that the reseal was done back in 2010 when it had 49k miles (currently at 110k). I find it hard to believe that the reseal would be failing again already.

I also came across at least one Tacoma owner on TW who had a problem with the gasket behind the square plate on the front of the timing cover. Occam's Razor dictates this would be the answer and decided to order a new gasket today from the dealer to try before ripping the motor apart.

So I'm wondering if anyone here had the cover resealed while still under the warranty/TSB period, or anytime I guess, and if you've had problems with it since. If you did, did you have to reseal it, or did it end up being that plate gasket?

Huh. No one? Was the timing cover leak not as big of an issue as my research made it seem?

My timing cover was leaking on the top passenger side.
When I replaced my head gaskets, that was the only seal I worried about going together smoothly.
I removed the 2 lower guide studs in the block to make the install easier. I used the Toyota FIPG and have had no worries in 6 months since. If I had to do just the cover, it would be a full-day job with getting the waterpump, accessories and pulleys off, surfaces prepped then reassembled.
Worth it though to have a dry engine bay.

I have a 2005 V6 and not sure when my timing cover started to leak. It was way past the warranty period so I finally decided to have it fixed last year in April. It wasn't a big issue, there was some oil, but not enough where I was losing a lot. The engine is dry without any oil now so I'm happy. I had coupons and talked the Toyota dealer to come down on price, they initially wanted $2400 to fix. I paid $1700 out the door, which included new water pump, thermostat, full transmission oil replacement and something else. I plan to keep my 4runner forever that's why I paid to have it fixed.

Replaced with Head Gasket

Mine was leaking for a few years. I replaced the valve cover gasket, that was leaking on the passenger side, but there was still a leak from the timing cover. I kept an eye on it and my oil was never getting low, even with replacing every 6 months (~5000 miles).
I had it taken care of when I had my head gaskets replaced last spring. Hasn't been a full year yet, but every thing is still clean under the engine. That was really the biggest bother for me was just having the coat of oil on the underside.
