The OE assemblies are sealed. You can't bake them open at all. Cut maybe.

The TYC lights are two piece with the same bonding they use for the headlights. Just bake and pop open.

TYC is what Kustom54, and probably others like Unique Style Racing etc are using.

I can't comprehend why anybody would want to do this. I want to be as seen as possible, especially from the rear.

Becasue it looks better then stock . I live in canada and have done it to my past 3 cars . Never got a ticket or a warning . On the other hand they are very strict on front window tint . Any film applied is a $150 ticket and yes i have mine tinted...YOLO

It's always a good idea to make sure you make it harder to see at night, and make it harder for other people to see you!

Did it myself just remove lights, masked off chrome and red parts. Spray and Let dry for few hours.

I guess I never noticed the "depo performance" all over their website until now hahaha

Anyone running a set of the Depo tails? Asking since I've heard their headlights were awful in regards to the projector output.

I just did a light tint on the side of the lights where the amber is. Otherwise no tints on the 4Runner. I have done a light tint on some past vehicles depending on the shape of the taillight. Again I stress a light tint. I can't understand how some do the dark tint where you can't see the taillight at all.
What blows my mind is how people tint their headlights and their windshields. That just seems crazy!!!!

I had Depo tail lights on my 4th gen for years and had zero issues, I have these USR Depo tail lights on my 5th gen and they are great quality, no issues and they're OEM quality

I don't think so. But I don't think I've looked at mine since the day I bought it 3 years ago, so maybe they've changed.

If you don't like useful tail lights, why not just cut the wires and be done with it?
