Tire size- can I go bigger?

I have a stock 96 t4r. Need some new tires. Was wondering if I could go bigger than 265/70/16. Could I go bigger without rubbing? If so what size do you recommend. Thanks!

First off, this is the most beaten to death question on any 4x4 forum. A little search would net your answer in about 2 min. But again I dont like to post useless posts so I will answer.

265/75/16 is the largest without rubbing. If you get mud tires they run larger and will rub a little at full tilt. Mine rubbed at full flex also.
