Tire trade in

From perusing the forum it seems that maybe Discount Tire will do trade-ins. Is this online or just in store??? I don't see anything about it on their website. Has anyone actually done this?

I'm kinda wanting to try some Goodyear Kevlar MT. No reason other than curiosity. They have the 275/70/17s that I want. I have some nearly new BFG ATs in the same size with plenty of tread life on them. Is my best bet just to sell the BFGs here and buy the Kevlars???

Yes I know the BFGs are great tires. Don't know why I really have the itch to swap. But I do.

Thanks

Discount Tire offered me $50/tire on trade. Sold the set of 4 stock Dunflops for $500 on craigslist within 3 days. Try CL.

That's what my local Discount Tire offered me for my OEM Bridgestones. I sold them on craigslist in 3-4 days for $350.

You are better off selling them on your own. I have heard people getting as much as $100 bucks a piece for the new stock from Discount Tire, which is reasonable IMO, jerk offered me $65, even after I told him I would be back in the spring to purchase another whole set of wheels and tires! The dude even had the balls to tell me that they sold them new for $100, I laughed showed him their site state they were $160. I was ready to knuckle the f--r.

Just sent you a PM. I've been exploring AT tires for my 4 Runner. Shoot me a message back if you are interesting in talking about selling them. I'm in Tuscaloosa. Thank you. Yeah I see I screwed up this quoting thing...sorry.

I got $100 per tire last week from Discount Tire San Diego for my OEM tires on my 2014 Trail--- got 285 BFG ATs as replacement

my discount tire in Redmond WA offered me $25 a tire. lol. I listed them on CL for $350 and sold them the next day. 5-6 ppl ready to buy. They met me at DT and picked em up while my BFGs were getting installed. The look amazing and drive pretty well. Got the 10ply for $222 each. they price matched costco 6ply.

Damn 2 of you got $100 a piece from DT? :jaw: That's a pretty good deal! I got like $60 or $65 I don't remember, but it was no where near $100. Although the manager was very upfront and told me I would get significantly more on CL. I just did not want to deal with it, so I took the credit from DT. Next time, I will be going the CL route because many of you seemed to have done very well. The manager at DT told me that they are a very popular size for puckups.
