To further separate your $ from your wallet - my review of my CanvasBack

My read-to-write ratio is about 500:1, so I think its about time I contribute and add another thread

When I bought my '15 TEP I ordered the Husky front, rear, and cargo liners.

They have held up great, but the cargo liner (and why I went with husky vs weathertech), left a bit to be desired. Since I have the sliding tray, every time I used it, my gear would slump down and push the liner into the space... annoying.

I think if you have a non-sliding tray (and non 3rd row) the Husky offers great functionality though...

After about 6 months I ordered a set of the Canvasbacks. 3 minutes to lay out and velcro (pre-stitched in) to the various seat backs, sliding tray, etc.

Its awesome! I got back my tie-downs, access to the little storage area right behind the rear seats, and the usage of the sliding tray! Its held up to dirt, water, grim, dog hair, dog slobber, etc! I kept the Husky around just in case, will never put it back in

Another benefit I hadn't needed until a recent trip was when you fold down the rear seats! there is no "vertical lip" like the husky in the way!

They are super easy to clean up, wipe down easily, I haven't even bothered taking any out to throw into the washing machine (if and when, its a 2 second step).

Anyway, I recommend if you have $$ burning a hole in your post-turkey wallet, check em out.

So wait you're telling me that you still have access to your factory tie downs? The Canvasback was one of the first things I ordered and my tie downs are covered up, this is the only thing I didn't like about it. I may have to give them a call.

I've got Canvasbsck in my '14 Trail and still have access to the factory tie-downs as well. Not sure why yours doesn't allow the same?

FWIW, we absolutely love our Canvasback too! With a Yellow Lab and a German Shepherd, we would be in bad shape without it!

My truck came with canvas back in the cargo area and on the back fo the rear seats. For free it's not bad but the slick surface and the inability to fold down the rear arm rest pass through with it installed leave lots of room for improvement. I don't think I'd pay money for it.

Are you sure the arm rest/pass through won't fold down? I installed mine with the rear seats folded down and with everything back upright, the arm rest folds fine.

I use mine in conjunction with the plastic Husky cargo tray/liner. I fish a lot and the risk of spilling funky water was too great to just go Canvasback. It's nice to lift the Husky out and dump the crumbs.

However, if I had to get rid of one, it would be the Husky. Having the back of the seats covered is too valuable. I wish they sold it al la carte.

It should be noted that Canvasback will alter the options on their website just about any way you want. No separate pass through panel, allow the tie downs, cover the tie downs, sell you just the 2nd row seat backs. Call them up and let them know what you want. Don't be stymied just because the option you're looking for isn't on the website.

They do have great customer service. When I first received my order the center seat section was missing some velcro and they sent me a replacement piece out right away.

I was thinking of calling them to see if they could take my existing one and make the cutouts for the tie downs. Also to ask about making a foldout piece that would come out and cover the bumper for when the dog climbs up. I've seen other cargo liners with that option and I'd like to have it so my bumper doesn't get scratched up.

Yes I'm sure, there it a non stationary carpeted piece the bottom attaches to. It's literally impossible for it to stay attached to both pieces when they need to move and slide if you fold down the pass through.

Just got off the phone with them, great customer service. They can do the cutouts for the anchor points on my existing one for no charge just shipping. They also make a bumper flap that velcros to the Canvasback for $30. I'm sending mine in for the alterations this week. Again, great customer service and great American made product.

so this concerned me, as the entire reason I was looking at these was for when the seat is folded down. Checking their site, I see this:

But then I see this:

I'm guessing that is why they're 4, 5, 6 pieces rather than 1 piece.

they must have updated the design since your purchase. the one i received a few months back has a separate piece that attaches only to that pass thru center arm rest

i think 1 piece would be nice (except for when considering AudiTech's issue with folding the center pass thru thing down) but i have the same one in your bottom pic and it still works great at keeping the carpet clean underneath. with all the windows down and 200lb of dogs in the car the hair is blowing around everywhere regardless of how many pieces they're standing on. but muddy paws and the like are no match for it
