What we should talk about is the body armor. Specifically the integrated fender flares are steel and structurally tie into the body armor to create a pretty darn good looking way of dealing with fender protection.

This is the wrong crowd for stuff like this. I like lifted trucks and can appreciate them for what they are but others just Hate them and are very vocal about it. I saw it in person and I really like it . Not the graphics and all the stuff but a lifted 4Runner looks great to me. This is more the level it and talk smack group. Anything taller is just crazy and it must have KDSS to even consider being an off roader.

At least 95% of the guys on this board like a lifted 4Runner, if not more. What we don't like is an abortion like the truck in the OP, that's been taken way too high, the wrong way, and for no reason whatsoever. That truck is an example of everything that's wrong with SEMA show trucks and then some, designed to appeal to the hoi polloi that don't know anything about actually building or using a truck as an offroad vehicle.

I wish they'd picked a Dodge or some other garbage truck to do that to, using a 4Runner for that abomination just encourages more of the flatbill bro crowd to ruin more 4Runners.
 
To the OP , See what I mean ! I was already singled out for just the suggestion. If you like lifted trucks keep it to yourself . Not one positive thing mentioned in the thread about the tonka just bashing. And then they will bash you to say they are not bashing you. Don't believe me , Just read what members write about the Tonka or any lifted truck from say Hawaii.The comments speak for themselves.

you weren't singled out. You were quoted for suggesting that the general population here isn't progressive enough to appreciate a jacked-up, bracket-lifted, IFS v6 with hundreds of lbs of gussets and foolishness.

If this were solid front axle, maybe a different story.

Also, You can not make a thread dedicated to lifted , really tall 4Runners. the flamers ruin and tear it down immediately "bracket kit junk" blah blah instead of just saying ,"well its not my thing " and moving on they will beat you down until you regret ever bringing it up.

You See we never talk about the truck only the person who stupidly likes or smartly dislikes the truck , its very political and childish overall. Many members including myself keep lots of valuable information to ourself for this very reason . It's sad the few ruin it for the many, but such is life .

We've talked the truck to death. We're talking about you now. Keep digging, this is fun! Tell us more about the many members who have valuable information about how to ruin a perfectly good 4Runner, are there lots more like you hiding in the corners? Do we need to fumigate?
 
I'm not a fan of the bro lift at all, the front brush guard looks like more of a damage multiplier than anything, and running that wheel/tire combo on stock axles is foolish unless you never leave pavement. However, as an enthusiast, I look at a vehicle I don't like and try to glean ideas that I can apply to my own build. The side ladders on the tonka, for instance.
 
There are a number of threads wondering if Toyota will drop the 4runner, if something like this will sell a few more than I all for it. Still it does look like something from a bad SyFy movie.
