Cleary something has to be done. I just checked-out postimages.org that T4topher mentioned. That requires an upload from somewhere on my computer. The photos now live on Google Photos, so unless I pull them back down, that might not be the way to go...
I think it was Brian who earlier mentioned imgur. I'm going to experiment with them. Would be nice to able to move directly from Google Photos to Imgur. I think that might be doable, but I might have to go to Google Drive, then to Imgur. Like there isn't enough to do in life...

Ugh, I can't see ANYONE's photos!
I bought the LED's from the other thread (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075J8VQDX/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and in my experience, they are extremely bright. I don't have a lux meter, but I have a set of HID foglights that I always had turned on because the halogen headlights sucked so bad. With the foglights on, I couldn't even tell if my headlights were on or off. Once I put in the LEDs above, they completely overwhelm the HID foglights; now I can't even see if the foglights are on or off, except for the very near field. So I can't imagine needing/wanting anything brighter.
In fact, my concern is that although I have the cutoff aimed correctly, there is still enough light being bounced out above the cutoff, and because it is so much brighter than the halogens, it may be distracting to other drivers.
So Tony, with your lights, do you see much bleedout of light above the cutoff? If they do a better job of reducing bleedout, I may consider a set. Thanks!

Damn, can't see anyone's photos. I'm guessing that there will not be a single solution that allows all included photos to be visible to all members on all devices and browsers. I was able to easily download all of my Google Photos moments ago. This all began when I hit the max allowed storage on this forum, about when I bought the utility trailer. I'll find first the post using Google Photos, and begin, but only after a bit of experimentation to make sure imgur will work well, at least with a good number of us here...
Back to our LED headlight options, with respect to output, I find objective measures important as our perceptions can be deceiving. Unless I got a bad set, those OEDRO LEDs had less output than my halogens, although they appeared brighter. Using the same app, the Aukee LEDs were indeed much brighter than my halogens, and I got them for 30 bucks. I see why the reviews are so good:

That said, the Hikari LEDs, to your question, have less bleed-out above the cut-off, IMO. Looks like they are back to 90 dollars (purchased for about 70):

We live on a hillside where all of the roads are up or down. We all blind each other due to the dynamic elevation changes, no matter the bulb of choice. On flat roads, unless behind a lowered Miata or something comparable, these look like keepers. I will still keep a set of my halogens onboard should there be a failure...
I'm now searching for LED fogs that I can use on my Savage bumper that I should be getting soon.

I might have to give those a try! Although like I said above, my concern is that if these LED's are even brighter than what I bought (the OEDRO's), and I already think the OEDROs are possibly too bright, then wouldn't the ones you linked be even more "too bright"?

The set I got, according to the app, are brighter. I believe them to be more focused and with that less problematic. Up to you Leon. Easy enough to return for a full refund, and I'm sure they will be discounted again at some point.

That's what I started using too, so far so good. After getting screwed by Photobucket, I started using Postimage - until they got hacked and changed all their photo locations, requiring me to go and change the address for every single photo I posted in all the forums.
Tony, if you can fix the photos that would be great, I'd love to see the comparison.
As an aside, I'm putting in an HID kit into my wife's GLK this weekend, I'm tired of not being to see anything with the current headlights!

I'd prefer to not have to hack-up the dust boots. For now they are off. I think I can get them to fit, but not sure. That all said, I'm currently experimenting with HIKARI Ultra LED bulbs. I read so many good things about the Philips LUMILEDS that when these were discounted to 70 bucks, I decided to try them... I'll do some more photos, which I guess you might not see...

The lux readings were generally somewhat better than the other LED bulbs (Aukee H4), except there was one sweet spot where Aukee hit a slightly higher max. The pattern looks to be much better with these Hikari ones, and the cut-off much more distinctive. A shot I took on the way home from Napa last night (got some brake fluid). In this photo, I'm about 10-15' behind that car...
Since I'm posting, I received the front and rear bump stops.
I had previously loosened the OEM bump stops, so this install was very quick.
I'll do the rears later when I do suspension....

Flickr is better, but they are changing. Now owned by Smugmug, while a better platform, the free accounts will be limited to 1000 pictures I believe, and the "Pro" account will go up to $49.95/yr. Haven't heard of any limitations on the free account for 3rd party hosting, but you know how that works...
Now back to your regularly scheduled build thread..

Thanks guys. On top of your feedback, I got favorable results on Chrome, Safari and IE. I then used my iPad, all looks good there too.
If not mistaken, Brian earlier recommended imgur. Yes, I remember correctly. His post, which also marks for me how far I have to go back to fix photos in this thread...

On top of what Brian shared, limit-wise, I found this on the imgur website:
"There is an upload limit of 50 images per IP address per hour. There is no upload limit per account, so upload to your heart's desire!"
Seems very reasonable... I think imgur is a solid solution for us. Wish I would have listened to Brian 4 or so pages back. I'll grab a few beers one night, sit by the fireplace after the kids go to bed, and start re-linking...
Leon - I only have driven about 30 minutes with the Hikari LEDs. Based upon testing in my driveway, using that app for objective measures, and those few minutes on the road, they seem promising. I'm going to give them some more time though.
Also, FWIW, I'm been in contact with both Hikari support about their relationship with LUMILEDS (Philips sold them a few years back) and also with LUMILEDS here in San Jose, CA. The Hikari owner's manual notes how to spot a fake, yet with the image they provide, it doesn't not match with the chips on these bulbs. So, I'm simply following-up. Much of my career has centered around counterfeit equipment, the grey market and related shenanigans. I'll be following-up with LUMILEDS this Friday. If for any reasons the findings reveal the chips are not genuine, stolen or that there are licensing concerns, as a matter of principle, I would return them. I hope that is not the case... The support at Hikari has been responsive and they are adamant that the bulbs are legit as well as their relationship with LUMILEDS. I'm encouraged.

I went with Imgur after the Photobucket fiasco... they are linked up with Reddit (though not owned by) and originated as a 3rd-party image hosting service, so should have some decent longevity.
My wife uses Flickr, but I haven't talked to her about what the changes are going to mean. She doesn't post on forums though, it is just for sharing albums with friends.

Got an email from Richard at Stubbs and my sliders are about done! Since I won't be home most of next week, he'll be shipping them on Wed, for a Friday arrival. I return home Thursday evening.
I might try tackling the TBU or Tundra brake upgrade this Saturday or Sunday. I don't think I had mentioned that earlier in this thread. I should have everything I need for that by tomorrow. Might get some grief from the family for wrenching on the 4Runner before leaving on a trip, so I might need to wait until after my return...
EDIT/ADD: I had started a thread over the summer about utility/camping trailers, and ended-up buying one. That will entail a build that I might not include in this thread, but not sure yet. I hope to start that next spring or summer. Those few baseline photos were also problematic, so I got those on imgur as well. Yup, looks good! I might try the bulbs for the simple reason that your high beam indicator works with them. Mine does not work with the OEDROs (I know there are ways around that, but I'm too lazy).

It doesn't take long and it's a pretty good bang for the buck mod. Mine still manage to stop the rig in lo/lo. Barely. lol

IMGUR is the way to go. Glad to hear it is working for you. IMGUR powers Reddit.com with free image hosting for all the Reddit users. I doubt they will take away free image hosting anytime soon. With a global traffic rating of 18th most visited website in the world there is a lot of money at stake when any change is made. That same free image hosting drives users and ad revenue. :flame:
