Touchup paint and brushes?

I want to touchup the chips in the paint on my '98 Camry in preparation for giving it a good polish and wax job.

At one of the car products sites I saw some micro brushes for this purpose but can't locate them now. Anyone have a link for this?

Should I go to the dealer to get touchup paint and clearcoat or from the internet?

Any general advice on applying touchup paint?

i've used touch up paint from here and was pleased with the results...was a perfect match....to apply i used the bottom end of a matchstick...(matchbook kind)

Go to a art store and get a " fine" paint brush and do it in small layers to build up to the original paint. the applicator(brush) that comes with the touch up paint is junk.

The touchup paint source given in a previous post is very pricey -$14.95 for a small bottle of paint plus $4.95 for shipping.

I need to touch-up some chips in my paint as well. Do I just need the touch-up paint and the brush, or do I need other things as well like primer, etc?

for the bare bones job you can get away with just the touch up paint, but I highly recommend the micro brushes. The brush in the touch up tube sucks. The match book idea works to but after using the micro brushes I won't go back and they are so cheap($2.85-ish for the set).

Well, my order from Brandsport for the '98 Camry touchup paint should arrive in a few days. For a few weeks now I had been getting an email every week saying it was on backorder. They were good though about sending me an email every week so I would know that they hadn't forgotten.

After I practice with the touchup paint on the '98 Camry I will move on to my '04 4Runner and try to touchup some of the long scratches I got on the side last weekend when I was out in the Mojave desert.

After the touchup paint on both vehicles has had a couple of weeks to set I will move on to give both a claybar and Zainos polish (wax) treatment.
