So I am likely going to be moving in the near future (before it gets too warm), and I have a question about towing. I have a stock auto 00 limited and will be towing a 98 Honda Accord auto with a dolly. It will be a 450 mile trip on the interstate, some of which will be going through WV and will be hilly. Will the stock auto tranny hold up or should I consider a tranny cooler or other mods? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ron. I knew the towing capacity was listed at 5000 lbs, but I didn't know if that was an actual, real world number or if it was the rating for towing on the Bonneville flats. I thought I'd be good, but I wanted to make sure before I throw out my tranny half way between here and Charlotte. Thanks again!

When towing, lock out overdrive.
Are you renting a dolly. If so make sure it is in proper condition. Have them show you how to hook it up and unhook it to the truck and how to hook up the car. Avoid U-Haul.

A tranny cooler is an easy and inexpensive mod that gave me a little more peace of mind. just my 2 cents.

I would definetly recommend a tranny cooler. I was thinking if I had to tow a car and what the weight limits would be. U-Hauls car dolly weighs 900lbs. plus whatever you are towing. I also don't think that they come with eletric brakes either so be careful when getting ready to stop.
