Towns / Areas with a lot of Runners

I want to say Denver... but goddamn, every 3rd SUV is a brand new Tahoe. 4Rs seems to be the 3rd most popular after Subarus and Tahoe/Suburbans.

Seems like every time I go climbing or hit a trailhead they're are Subie's with Colorado plates and Patagucci stickers on the back window in the parking lot.

Northeastern New England is Tacoma country, but there are a lot of 4Runners. I feel like every other house or every few spots in the parking lot is a 4Runner.

If it's not a Tacoma or 4Runner, it's a Jeep. Or Subaru. Not many other cars or trucks have a fighting chance up here.

I'm in Seattle. Pretty sure everything that isn't a car or lifted domestic pickup covered in energy drink decals is a Toyota. So many runners and tacos in this city and they're in such great condition.

I live across the water from Seattle, and I see 4Runners all the time. A lot of third gens, mostly driven by older folks. Most people with an interest in vehicles around the area just care about Subies.

I'm across the water from Seattle as well. Pretty much anywhere within a 50 mile radius of seattle I feel like has alot of 4runners. Seems like if you want 4/awd and intend to use it (i.e. you're outdoorsy or off-roady) you're either in a subaru, 4runner, or tacoma (With jeeps spattered in there somewhere, of course :yawn. Otherwise I feel like the suv crowd is pretty explorer heavy, especially since they went unibody.

Sorry, across the 'other' water, the tiny one, lake washington. I'm on the eastside. I didn't read where you were, I thought it was a bit funny to hear someone say 'across the water' referring to the eastside... looks like the early morning lack-of-thinking got me again.

Gotcha, that's funny. I was thinking that it's odd that you're "across the water" and I'd never seen your rig before.

DFW area is covered up with them. Far more LE's than TE's and SR5's combined. It's not uncommon to be stopped at a traffic light and there be two or three other 5th Gens, not counting all the 4th and 3rd Gens. I don't see too many lifted or modded.

The Calgary/Cochrane area approaching Kananaskis there is a ton. There are mostly older 3rd gens that are stock. Lots of modified Landcruisers and Tacos however.

Steamboat Springs, CO. About every car you pass is a either a 4R, Tundra, LC, Sequoia, or Tacoma.

Tons of 3rd and 4th gen T4Rs in suburban Orlando (soccer moms and dads seem to love them) and I'm seeing a sudden upswing in the number of 5th gens too - I'm assuming cuz of the cheap gas. Roughly 90% of the T4Rs are 2WD around here - I'd guess the 2WD Limiteds are the most popular model. The 4WD '05 SR5 I just bought was owned by a recent retiree who transplanted it from up north - you don't see many like mine around here. There's also a ton of Tundras where I live - there are at least 3 on my street alone.

Sorry OP, I have to disagree on the SO CAL part. I live in Long Beach and I see A LOT of 4runners here (especially 2nd and 3rd gens).
More than half of my time at work is spent driving in the LA/OC area so my experience is a little biased. I see coutless Runners daily though. One thing to note though, what I see the most is soccer moms/people using for transportation, not off-road rigs. Around here, they are almost always 2wd models.
