Toyota cheaped out?

Hey I find memory seats pointless personally, however I respect that some people dig them... And you know what, if they aren't available even on the limited then that's my point. It used to have them, the competition has them, the 5th gen should still have them...

I love the truck, sorry to all who were offended by my desire for LED tail lights...
 
I do give a lot of credit to Toyota for keeping the 4Runner the same price throughout the years. Especially when you look at other companies comparable vehicles have jumped in price for the same quality. Although Toyota did what they had to do to keep the costs down, they still made a great, capable truck that I'm sure everyone on this forum would gladly own.

A little off topic here but what they should do is work on making a supercharger for the 5th gen. With one engine option, people want power and a supercharger would quench the V8 thirst for some people. Anyone hear anything about one in the works?

I think a TRD supercharger would be great, low boost should maintain decent mpg while out of boost, and a decent jump in power while in boost!

I have no issues either. Enjoy your 4Runner and I will help out if able. I am on the forum as I am in real life. I am direct. If you need help I will be the first in line to help and if you whine I will also be the guy to "help."

I'm sure there are a million threads available through search, but if there is a good website for 4Runner parts specifically sliders/running boards that would be a great help! Wife has trouble climbing in....

I hate to say this but I use amazon.com for everything from high end mtn bike parts to acessories for the 4Runner to an OEM spoiler for my son's Subaru and books and music and...anyway there are several good choices out there and amazon puts most of them on their website.

So did I until the 15th of this month. That's when the state of California started collecting sales tax from Amazon. Since California is very anti 2nd Amendment I bought as much as possible thru them. I figure why give this state any extra tax revenue. Now I will use Overstock or other out of state vendors.

not really sure if amazon has sliders on there, but a couple of options would be budbuilt and shrockworks. not sure if you want to go the route of a slider used as a running board, but then again you can't really use a running board as a slider. maybe other members could chime in on the use of a slider as step-up into the truck.
 
Not to interrupt the love fest, but the 3rd row eats up a ton of space when folded. Just look at some pictures.

LEDs and projectors? I break my lights often enough that I am probably a lot better off without them. Antenna? Removed and thrown away on day 1, just like my Taco's. Do people still listen to AM/FM radio??

You want an electric motor with a button to replace a simple manual lever that takes all of about 4 pounds of force to move? ****, I would pay extra to have the lever.

Are you really comparing unibody cars with open diffs and traction control to a body on frame truck with a solid axle, part time 4wd, with a locker available? If you are, you bought the wrong vehicle.
 
"manual" shift 4x4 and push button argument is the weakest thing ever. Even with your enchanted shift lever there are still electronics that put you in 4wd. The only real added electronics from a push button is the wiring for the switch and the encoder switch on the transfer case.

I will agree the manual shifter does feel a lot more manly though.
 
Nothing to hate. Amazon is great, usually has the best price, fast / free shipping with Prime and is easy as hell to use - especially if anything needs to be returned. They started collecting PA tax as well but only for some items that ship from their PA warehouse.

Now that we are all in agreement and love each other again, we are still allowed to make fun of Johnny, right? :moon:

This is called being a grown up and moving past a dispute.

I of course know what Amazon is, I never thought that they would carry Toyota 4Runner parts and thus never would have looked there. Sorry I can't provide more entertainment at this moment... :D
