I would be willing to bet all 4 wheels were turning and he has factory or aftermarket front and rear lockers.

I'm sure all tires were turning. I like the way he lets off the gas to let the Toy straighten up toward the ramp direction then gun it. Wonder if the second truck crossed or said no way.

Holy crap.. I love the way he's just opening the door at the end to let the water drain out. lol. It's nice to see a Land Crusier being used for it's intended purpose. Here in the US, Land Crusier's have turned into 80k status symbols that really RARELY go off the road. Shame really, those things are beasts. I regret selling my 98 every time I see one!!

There is no snorkel for 5th gen yet and even with snorkel I wouldn't want anybody to try that. Fella from the video was very lucky that day I think : )

Wow that is nuts! That dude is all kinds of lucky...he didn't fry the electronics.

I had an old school range rover that had the ecu under the front seats...terrible location.

I saw a schematic for the 5th gen and there were computers all over the place...just can't remember if they were in low lying areas...

He's actually using the front wheels as a rudder when he hits reverse to turn the truck back toward the road. Great driving, but I agree he got lucky to keep it running

Possible, I don't think the barn doors were available in the states. Don't know what that has to do with the video, though? I think a US Spec FZJ80 with 4.5 I6 and 3 lockers would do the same thing.

ive driven in water that went up to the bottom of the headlights.

made it out unscathed but i dont think i'd do it again without a snorkel and some work protecting the electronics.
