How do you guys effectively drain all the coolant out, I can't find a DIY on this site.
There are 3 drain locations on the V8's, radiator, and two locations on the engine block?
The instructions I have say to drain from all 3 locations.
Do both under panels need to be removed?
Tighten drain plugs to 9ft-lbs?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I dont think you would ever get a 100% exchange unless you tore the motor apart but a good flush can be done by maybe turning the motor over a few times with the plugs out. Thats how we did it in the olden days.
a vacunm filler is a filler that once all the coolant is drained out. you put this on the rad and hook an air hose to it. push a button, sucks all th air out of the coolant system. put a tube in the mixed coolant turn on the valve and all the coolant fills the coolant sysytem. i have never had a problem doing this and have been doing it for several years on my cars and all the cars at work.
I have an '03 with the pink coolant.
I could only find pink premixed. Red comes concentrated.
2002 - which from the sounds of it should have red. The dealer parts people showed me their book and it said use SLLC after their tech said put in red. The book won out in the end. I honestly think it's just a way to make extra $ by selling it diluted vs concentrated. The 02 manual says use LLC not SLLC. The formula is slightly different for each one. I couldn't tell if I had red or pink in there. Has anyone ever mixed LLC and SLLC?
Also, must be a leak somewhere since the rad was close to bone dry and she was overheating. A couple weeks later and zero problems. A slow leak or could all that coolant evaporate over the course of 60k miles? I'd never changed it before.

A cooling-system related question (sorry if its to far off topic), but ive noticed a lot of people here use Conicelli Parts Center to get their replacements from. Are these OEM Toyota parts? Im trying to gert all the parts for our '03's 90k timing belt service, and i want to replace the waterpump. Dealer Parts wants over $350m Conicelli is asking $143.07. Thats a HUGE difference!!!!
It doesn't work the same way... Its the minerals in the water you want to get rid of... distilled is the only way to go.... Boiling kills living enzymes and bacteria... However once you get up to up above 65C (150-165F) the solubility of calcium and magnesium sulfates and other minerals in water drops and start to drop out of solution coating the inside of your motor with the tell tale whiteish/yellowish deposits inside the water jacket.
The only way to neutralize the deposit forming minerals (I work at a power plant) are large industrial water softeners (zeolite or hot/cold soda-lime softeners which the avg Joe doesn't have)

Supposedly, backflushing can also loosen buildup that actually may have sealed leaks, thus revealing leaks.
