Toyota Mud Flaps and Auto Running Boards

Has anyone tried these mud flaps with the auto boards? There is supposed to be a conflict, but I was wondering how much interference there is between the two.

I did search, but apparently mud "guard" "mudflaps" results in hits, whereas mud "flaps" does not.

I searched the forum a did not get any results either. Google search works better.
