Toyota Procedure: Changing Automatic Light Control Sensor

Does anyone have access to the Toyota procedure for "correct" way to remove the sensor. It would be found in
"LIMITED PACKAGE, TRD-PRO and LIMITED BLACK EDITION"

I don't want to hack into my new dash and have to look at a chewed up hole for the next 15 years.

Toyota must have a tool or a procedure to remove the old sensor and replace it without gooch'n up the dash.

I have read and posted in this thread so Im aware of how it could be done but I would like to follow a Toyota procedure

Sure. Pull the Visa debit out of your wallet. Jam it under the edge and release the plastic spring clip one one side of the sensor dummy plug and it pops right out. TRD approved.

Seriously, there is unlikely a specific Toyota tool other than a nylon panel tool that prevents scratching the dash. Don't over think it, it's childs play to pop the dummy plug out.

Common sense is the best procedure.

See the 2nd post in this thread for the common sense procedure.

Seriously. Its a 30 second removal and install.

By creating this thread you have already spent more time than required on this “upgrade”
