Toyota Productiion vs order and allocation

We’ve had an order in since December 2022 for a 2023 Off-road in Lunarock with the dealer in Missoula, but not alloacated. Dealer in Spokane getting all sorts of Limiteds (do not want) and Off-road Premiums (do not want), but no one getting Off-roads. Does Toyota bang out a run of specific models? Do they do runs by specific colors until the paint can runs out?

Toyota generally builds every unit to order. If you ever see the production line it'll be a white land cruiser behind a blue limited 4runner and followed by a green Prado. So it's not even a row of 4runners let alone the same color.

4runner sales are way down. Like 50% down year over year. It's odd that you're not getting yours built and allocated. Maybe there's a supply chain issue with one of the parts?

It’s based on demand and sales projections. They build more of what people want, less of what they don’t.
