Toyota put V8 superchargers on hold

I would like to know if TRD will be recalling any of its s/c that have already been sold. Keep us informed.

Where can I get spec of the s/c for the 4.7?

Costs, HP and torque figures, hardware required, time taken for installation.

they're still on hold, IT'S KILLING ME!!!!!!

It should bring hp to about 350hp and torque up to 450lbs/ft, but the trd info is very scarce and confusing with the specs. . .

YOu have to have Toyota install it, for about $600 to keep the warranty.

THe kit is $3890 from eddie,shipped, from whom ALL of us have or will buy them from. . .
 
Just called TRD (6-1-04), and they are actually now giving an ETA on the release of the 4.7L S/C!!!!


End of JUNE, or 1st week in July!!!


We'll see...

So Toyota thinks that the transmission and driveline can handle 350hp and up to 450lbs/ft of torque for 5 years and 60K miles of warranty - That is very impressive :)

I would love to know how (long/number of miles) members with it installed have had them in their vehicles with no driveline problems?

Spoke with 800 number/customer service @ TRD yesterday, still on hold :(. No details when they would release, but did mention it was the ecu that was the problem.
 
Man, it's ALREADY early July. . .

I got so tired of holding up on this, I went ahead and bought a turbo kit for my contour. . .I NEED TORQUE in one of my cars. . .

So, instead of putting down 450lbs/tq in the 4Runner with a warranty to back me up, I'll be doing the same in a 2900lb car!!!

Oh well. . .I wonder if this ECU hold up is messing up their sales?? Certainly lost me for a bit. . .
 
I'm so pissed at TRD. What a joke of a company. How can it possibly take this long to resolve a problem? Either you have a product, or you don't.
 
I know, what REALLY pisses me off is that the KIT WORKS, Biff has it, and he hasn't complained YET. . .I don't get it, I just don't, but I guess it's an R&D thing, they HAVE to be CERTAIN!!!!
