Has anyone had any luck with extended warranty covering the replacement of the drive shaft for the service bulletin for the occasional clunk when you release the brake

From my experience, it's all about being able to produce the issue on the spot with the dealer. I never could with mine, therefore I let it go. For me, it's an annoyance, not indicative of a serious problem.

A couple pumps of grease every 3,000 miles into the slip joint and I don't have any issues. If I let it go any longer I start to get the binding.

Mine was replaced no questions asked by the dealer a couple of years ago. It just depends on the dealer you go to for these TSB jobs. Another dealer tried to fight me on the headlight hazing issues on early 5th gens.
