The software is easily found on the internet. If you've got one of those laptops with the slot load drives you won't be able to insert these mini discs without having a major problem! They get stuck from what I heard.

Like emy said, you do get the CD.

As for 64 Bit machines:
Harper posted something that helps a lot. It's Windows version of Virtual PC (see third post in this thread). Download it, make sure you pass the Genuine check, install and follow the directions to get windows XP running. You don't need a XP Key since it's from microsoft. This is one of the advantages over Parallel or VMWare, but Microsoft's version is bare bones I believe, nothing too fancy.

Note for those using Microsofts Virtual PC:
Since the cable hooks up via USB, you need to enable it in the Windows virtual XP side. Its in the top bar on the virtual pc desktop... If you go this route you will see what I am talking about.. I'll see if I can post up a screen shot later..

That took me a good 30 minutes to figure out. I thought my drivers wasn't installed properly or my cable was defective... Just turns out that you need to use it in XP side and enable the USB cable.

just recieved mine today, comes with a mini cdrom I am gonna try to use windows xp in parallels on my macbook pro and see if that works.

It works great on my 2010 Macbook Pro (running 32 bit Windows 7 in Parallels 7) and using an external USB CD drive to install the software because of that pesky mini disk.

No problems at all. I was able to connect to my 2010 4Runner and my dads 2007 tundra and tweak all the options on both.

So I have a MacBook as well, I need to buy Parallels and get a copy of XP? Are there any free versions out there since XP is so old (and not supported from MicroSoft?)

I have Snow Leopard, I think that has a dual boot option, can I use that instead of Parallels?

You can try to get your hands on a copy of XP. Or get a 32 bit version of Windows 7. You could use parallels or just use OSX's built in bootcamp to run the second OS. Up to you.

Same place as all OBDII connectors, between the exhaust manifold and the engine block.

Take a snapshot now, when you get to 0, revert to snapshot:thumb3:

You can reset that
Go to programs>toyota diagnostic>techstream>env>IT3usercustom and look for Connectioncount=1 or what ever number of times you tried and just delete the connectioncount. click save and you should be reseted back to 30

Thanks guys the reset worked, for some reason it still isnt working, I am going to try on my windows 7 machine next week.

Where did you get the latest version? As the cd that was sent to me has Ver 7.10.030 but still work flawlessly with no problems. I was able to turn off the seatbelt buzzer and was able to set the windows to go down with the remote.

I've got even newer vers. 7.12.030
When I've bought it was $55 from a US seller.
On the CD he put 2 vers. one was 7.11 and the second was 7.12

It doesn't really matter. The "newest" version doesn't bring anything new to the table for our rides. I have version 7.10.30 or something like that.

I don't see any difference. I've installed first the vers. 7.11 and then 7.12.
There are no new features with the new one, maybe it will see more new cars, like 2013 4Runner
Basically you can do the same like all other old versions.
