That's what I'm trying to use. But, I can only click evaluation after I put in a bogus registration number. The button isn't clickable without a key.

I'm having the exact same problem, install everything as per the video (included) instructions and the software will not accept the key. Software ID should show 555555555555555555555555555555555 but instead is some random series of numbers. Unlike you I cannot even click on evaluate after entering a key. Version is 8.20.019 and have tried latest 8.30.23 and still no go.
On another note, I am using win7 pro 64b and the drivers have automatically installed for the VCI cable!

You didn't replace the mainmenu executable if it's not showing all 5s.

Installed on Mac using Parallels and XP SP3
Ordered my xhorse cable from carucare, downloaded TIS 8.10.021 from ODB Resource (free) and got into my 2011 tonight. Wanted to practice on this vehicle before my 2014 comes in. If anyone is in the NY/NJ area and wants to swing by to use it, you are more than welcome.

Are you able to see the data lists? I can see the trouble codes and change the customisable options, but get a "fatal error" when I click the data list.

I've replaced it half a dozen times with no change, just like the instructions said.

I haven't tried that yet, but I can take a look.
Where'd you find TIS 8.10.021 , I only see Toyota Techstream V7.31.000 on their downloads page? OBDResource Online Store - Software Download

Have you tried completely uninstalling? I found it leaves a lot of info behind. If you manually delete the folder in you 'my documents' after uninstalling it will do a full new install.
I hear THEre are PIRATEs in the BAY. May want to check it out.

Right I got it. Deinstalled, ran search for anything techstream related in folders and regedit. Reinstalled 8.20.something from the disc, then did the 8.30.something update from here and used the mainmenu from here. All good.
Still haven't figured out how to connect to the truck...

does it matter what connector I get either on ebay or amazon? I am looking thru the items and I have no clue if there is a difference.

I've heard of knockoffs that don't work correctly, so I would be careful. The cable I purchased did come from China, took 10 days to deliver, but is legit and works exactly as it should. I didn't see anything on 8 but i did see the latest techstream is working on windows 7. And yes i did search but didn't see anything on windows 8.
