Awesome build....glad you resurrected this 4Runner!! cant wait to see your front bumper!! really like the TRD wheels with the pizza cutters!
 
Haven't had time to finish up the front bumper yet, or paint the fenders. But thats okay, cause I have got to wheel it some more in the mean time.

Found a kick ass trail this weekend, one of the hardest things I have been on, tight, lots of big drops and ledges, everybody got a little damage.






If you are debating on a getting a kick out.. my vote is YES! These guys saved my truck!

 
New LED bars

So while waiting for my bumper to be finished I found a new LED bar to try. I have a friend who just got be the west coast distributor for a new LED lighting company, and here are the ones I wanted to try.

They come in all different sizes and styles and the prices are crazy good, if you want more info PM me.

I picked up the 10" 80 watt LED bar for my daily driver pick up and the 15" which is really more like 19" with 16 10 watt LEDs in it! 160 watts and 14,000 lumens! I got the 10" for $220 and the 15" for $330.

So on with the pix..

Here is what they look like. I got the mixed beam pattern.


Comes with a dimmer/ strobe controller to make install a little easier too.



I'll get them installed one day when my bumper is installed. LOL
 
wheeling/update

So I had a little set back with my friend who is making me the bumper, he didnt like the way it was turning out, so he cut it off and is just doing something easier/boring/ normal now :( I wanted something odd to stand out and to go with its odd/beat up looks anyway. However he hated it, and it was a bit crooked looking, so now I have to keep waiting...! It is back on the road however, Thanks to Natemob and another friend, I know have non leaking CVs and axle seals. So we went wheeling to test her out.

So a little change of plans... My last bumper guy f'd me and said he was too busy with other work, so after 6 f'n months of saying he was working on it, he said sorry have a nice day. So I found a real fab. shop not too far away and I had heard good things about them, plus they sponsored our Thrill on the Hill FJ rally, so I called him up, dropped my truck off and in 5 days I have a just about complete bumper! Can't wait to see it in person, but so far I am very happy with it.

bumper is finished!!

So after a very very long wait and two different fabricators, I finally have my bumper finished!

Anb Custom Fabrication did a killer job on it and I am impressed! Plus he had it finished in no time! Here are the specs on it... 1-3/4DOM sides, 1-1/4DOM braces, 1-1/2" ERW over the grill. 3/8" winch plate, clevis and bumper mount made on one piece of 1/2" Steel, 3/16" on the rest. It weighs almost 80lbs.



 
Looking good bud. Love the hybrid prerunner style bumper you got there. One of these days I will make it down thee and you as Nate can show me what NM wheeling is all about lol

Are you friends with this guy or know any info on his bedliner? I've been strongly considering a dark grey/gunmetal color to use but rarely see good pics to visualize it. This is pretty much the exact color I have envisioned. So i'm curious exactly what it is..

Yeah he is a good friend of mine.. actually its just a dirty/faded black. LOL I forget the brand that he used, I want to say its rhino.

Thx, this one was just a fluke that I got that Meteor. I was just taking a 20-30 second exp. like I usually do and it just flew in there. You just need a good fast lens. 2.8f or faster. Then just keep your shutter open for as long as needed and try to keep your ISO low as you can.

The 3rd gen was nice to have on the tight trails and lighter. But the FJ rides a bit better and wider (like me) and the ATRAC is bad ass to have. Both are great vehicles tho.
