Toyotec 3"x2" Billstein Lift alignment questions

Just got a 2016 SR5 Premium

Lifting it with the toyotec 3inch billstein lift. Going to put 285/70/17 on it.

Ive been told that I need upper control arms to get proper alignment. Who has this setup, and have you been able to keep tire wear to normal standards? I don't want to chew up tires early and have to them add Upper Control Arms and get it realigned all because it wasn't setup properly in the first place.

Need UCA's no......suggested for better alignment yes. But hey I'm no expert I've just been reading and following this forum for a few years, a lift just isn't needed for me and the amount of money it costs. This truck(suv) can go most places and would surprise you! My suggestion is wheel it as is until you wear out your factory stuff then lift.

Just set it up right the first time. This has been asked and searched many times. There is a reason the control arms come in a complete kit.

Control arms not needed to prevent abnormal tire wear!!!!


They are needed to dial in enough positive caster so that the truck does not feel twitchy on the hwy at speed.

They are recommended with a lift and 33" tires, but not always required.
