Hi Fellas, recently installed the BOSS/LR UCAs/285-70-17 Duratracs/17x9 -12 setup. Started reading about some folks having too much lift and having some issues rubbing (Alex T4R; NPTITims) and perhaps having their "CV boot fins kissing." I don't have any rubbing issues (after trimming mudguards) even at full lock; however, looking at my CV boots, they do "kiss". I understand it's nearing impossible to "diagnose" a problem via pictures, could anyone kindly comment? I did not change any setting out of the box from Toytec. New to modding Toyotas (formerly a wrangler guy) and not familiar with independents. Nonetheless, would sure appreciate any feedback. Thanks much!

I'm curious as well. I just installed the toytec boss kit and my boot ribs are rubbing as well. I have the diff drop and lowered the coils to only having 9/10" of thread showing below the locking nut on the coil. I installed re manufactured axles from vcj with the extended boots. I feel like lowering the coils more would alleviate the issue but then what's the point of lifting. Ha

The link to Tacoma World David provided about CV angles is an interesting read, didn't give me a definite answer, but it was interesting lol
And this thread has a bit more discussion on the Toytec Boss Kit, not 100% what you're looking for but might be a useful thread down the road for Toytec Boss Kit owners like you guys and those thinking of getting one.
I guess after checking out the above links and still have questions, I'm no expert but I'm sure someone with more expertise will chime in. They just like it if you do a little search beforehand.
