Toytec Ultimate 3" Lift w/ 265/65-R17 Tires
I tried the search several times, but found nothing on this. So please excuse me if I am being repetitive.
From all that I have read on this forum, it seems that the 3" Toytec Ultimate Lift kit w/ Spidertrax 1.25" spacers is a very good setup to go with (which I plan on doing) and that I basically cannot go wrong with it. I just purchased my T4R (2005 SR5 V8) and it came with Yokohama Geolander A/T-S 265/65-R17s with stock 17" wheels, which have about 80% tread left, so I don't want to buy new tires for at least 6-8 months. Eventually I would like to go with some bigger tires, but not for now.
Would I run into any problems with the lift and that wheel/tire combination? Is there anything, in particular, that I should/shouldn't do or might want to watch out for while running this setup? Would it be a better idea to wait until I am ready to purchase new tires?
In case you need more info about it, this is my daily driver. Most of the driving I do is on-road. However, I do a lot of hunting, fishing, and backcountry skiing/mountaineering (where most of my off-road driving occurs). I occasionally do some recreational off-roading, and will probably do it a lot more often if my car is more capable.
