Toytecs Panhard Correction Brkt only on one end ?

"designing" a square tube or fish plate for people who lack the ability to fab something for themselves does not make a person walk on water. All the parts he has is selling is something that can be fabbed up by anyone with a decent garage. He is about two clicks above SSO in the creativity scale and two clicks left of All Pro in marketing to people without the capability to work power tools.

It is hilarious seeing how many people are shelling out $100 for something that can functionally be made for maybe $15 in metal. But I'm the idiot here. LOL Keep buying his over priced fish plates and simpleton designs. He owes all of you a blow job for it.

I don't know what SSO is.

People are shelling out for a quality product with almost perfect fit. Nobody said anything about anyone walking on water. You seem to have a bone to pick with people around here. Do us all a favor and take it somewhere else. You come across as a ****ing tool.

That is EXACTLY what they said when they copied other people's designs! LMAO

and I apologize for being overkill on these responses, but this is literally the first criticism I've received in the 4 years I've been doing this (aside from one small company that primarily sells adjustable Panhard bars, and from someone who isn't a client, apparently)

- I can't improve if I can't learn, so please fill me in.

You LITERALLY said he has done more for the 3rd gen than anyone else. How ignorant are you? He has made some clean brackets that most any high school shop student could do.

Gadget at URD has literally built products, engineered electrical/ machinal devices, patented REAL products that require REAL engineering, and provide a true boost to performance of the platform.

This guy makes fishplates. Get out of here with that knob job BS. I'm not trying to knock his gig. He is making seriously good money off people selling them a $10 product for $100. I hope he is living the good life off this kind of mark up.

EimKeith - nothing but love for your racket. You keep on living the dream making those super engineered products that seperate people from their money.

I'm going to just go ahead and step out of this joke...

Listen, I'm not going to make fun of you for not knowing what the personal learning/skills investment is, or what the R&D time/investment equates to, or what the capital costs are for funding a run of inventory that you've designed/prototyped/developed on your own - but I can assure you that no scalping occurs in my catalog. I'd also wager that my $100 product is better than what most part-time fabricators can come up with in their garage.

If you disagree, so be it - no harm, no foul. This is really not the hill you want to defend, honestly.

Now this could get interesting. Please do share the costs of your multiple patents for your products. Show me the $10k a pop on those and I will give you props. As for understanding R&D and stocking costs; again, you do not know me but I have a much greater depth into business on a national / international level then you do engineering. If you can produce a document for your company's supply chain processing, manufacturing/ inventory costs, and then your 1/3/5 year plans - then I will give you legit props.

Otherwise you are making fishplates that fit really nice. Not knocking the product, knocking the aurora around it. Don't take it offensively - you have a really loyal following of people who seem ready to defend your product to the point of ignorance. You are no URD. Don't act like it.

For Pete's sake; good news is the next gen Tundra is going to be linked at the rear axle. Think of all the new people to sell your bent metal too!

:deadhorse:

Not even going to drill you on the business continuity plan if your primary supplier is out of stock. Do you have a second supplier already contracted? Do you keep enough raw materials in stock at all times for 1 month or 3 months of production? What is your QC documentation for go/no go products? Or is it the ole eyeball micrometer?

Step off it dude. You make a good buck off a simple product. Own it and be happy about it. But you are not the first or last.

good lord, man; I'm not sure what your issue is - your assessment of the frame side drop is incorrect, and your attack on my business is completely unwarranted - what's your actual angle here? Do you really think I'm going to open my books to you?

What's your actual criticism of my product, as a non-user?

His issue seems to be jealousy that you actually did the thing he probably fantasized about. It a common psychological thing that I cant remember the name of. It's a way some people try to emotionally justify the excuses they make to themself through criticizing and downplaying others.

Not quite sure what's up with the attack on such a well-respected vendor. I think that the responsiveness on this thread and the numerous R&D posts/explanations really exemplify the value which EIMKeith has added to this platform.

Staying true to the OP's question, JerkyDrewster just posted in his build thread here about swapping his Toytec frame-side bracket for EIM ones on both frame and axle. He seemed to report positive results but he might be able to elaborate on seat-of-the-pants feel seeing as he just did the swap. Something tells me that debating the engineering or material cost comparison of the two options might not be productive... :smash:

I've bought TWO PCKs for my '98. First was for the original lift, second was last fall when I replaced the axle. Had the drop bracket on the frame, but just welded up the PH raise bracket a few weekends ago. The on-road difference (even without SBs) taking freeway turns at 70 mph is noticeably more "thrilling/terrifying" without the PH frame raise mount welded in. Almost feels safer than my '05 with blown XREAS and connected swaybars lol. Makes my "aurora" glow...

I'll be doing an IronMan lift on the '05 within a few months here, and ordering the 4th/5th gen PCK. Feeling the difference in on-road cornering with vs without, I wouldn't run a 2"+ Toyota lift without one.

I guess im a fool, cause im gonna shell out soon for another set of Keiths brackets for my next build

I just sent him money for parts that don't even exist yet. He has done more for this community to advance wheeling than some blowhard who talks about qa/qc on custom made parts that run in the volumes under 1000 every other year.
