In an earlier thread of mine, http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/103500-new-one-me-lost-spare-tire.html#post925599, I described how I have a "missing" spare tire. The answer to my next question should help towards determining if it was stolen or lost, so here goes:

How long/how many miles after losing communication with one of the TPMS sensors does the TPMS icon take to do it's 1 minute blinking and then go solid?​

I was probably about 5-10 miles and about 10-15 minutes from where I suspect the spare was stolen when I started the car and drove off and then got the icon.

This is a good question Rick, I haven't run into this before so don't know. If no member here knows this, I am willing to drop my wheel out and test for you.

I dropped my spare off at a shop Friday morning to get a new tire put on. The TPMS light didn't come on until Sunday night (I did a fair amount of driving Saturday and Sunday, maybe a couple hundred miles). Right now it is blinking, it hasn't turned solid. I thought it was a little strange that it took so long to illuminate, and I'm not sure why it is still blinking...
