TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System Questions

I searched and couldn't find the answer.

I need to replace a TPMS valve on my 4Runner and wanted to know if all 5 sensors need to be reprogramed if one is bad? I was told the sensor cost $200 and it requires about 2 hours of labor. Any ideas where (online or offline) to buy the sensor myself? Does it really require all 5 tires to be reprogramed?
