Trail 4WD lever vs. SR5 Knob

Just so I'm clear: even with the electronic transfer, all I will need to do is push a button to go into 4WH? Also, can I engage on the fly while driving?

Yep, pretty much. I think it is actually a dial.... You do need to slow down to around 45mph to go from 2h to 4H. You do have to stop and go to N before switching in and out of 4L.

Had the dial on my Tacoma and have the lever on my TEP. Would rather have the dial but the level looks cool.

The dial on my Tacoma worked great and I used it a lot. 4h on the fly was great too. Used the new lever once. Still learning everything on the TEP

I don't even get what all this hype about shifting into 4wd is about anyway, much easier to just start it and drive on or offroad.

Test drove a 2wd, got mine and said crap, where'd that nice cell phone holder go.

Silly boyzzz. Check his build thread- he has an AWD Limited. He converted/moved the shift knob to get the more useful 2WD console insert. Pure genius.
