Trail edition spoted tread

Surprisingly, I've seen at least 1 a week in and around Downtown Houston. There's a Shoreline blue one in my apartment complex (lifted), and two Salsa Red ones running around the Heights. Occasionally, I see a couple Black ones around the Memorial City area. Granted, of all the 4runners I see, the overwhelming majority of them are SR5s or Limiteds.

I even talked to one for the guys with a Salsa Red one. Asked if if it was difficult to find his. He told me he just got lucky. He bought it in 2010, "before anyone knew what it was." Lucky guy.

Houston totally dried up after the tsunami. They trickle in here and there but you reeeeeaaaly have to stay on the look out. Gulf states toyota doesn't seem to like to bring them in or the are gone as soon as they arrive. Mine, it's from Colorado.

I haven't seen many here in Huntsville Alabama area.
But when I came out of Costco the other day there was a Black Trail Edition parked right next to my Mag Grey.

Mine is still stock, and will be for the short term.

Some of my upgrade plans got setback a bit when the HVAC at the house decided to crap out

Only seen 1 other Mag Grey in my area and it had blacked out emblems just like mine, LOL.

The dealer I bought from had never sold one supposedly, and they ordered mine.

I rarely see any, wish I had one instead of my SR5 but needed the third row and the dealer had no TE's when we went shopping. the aggressive look is for sure awesome.

Has anyone spotted a 2013 TE for sale in either mag gray or silver metalic? I have been trying to find my Brother in law one!! We are currently in Jackson WY, but will be heading back to home through Denver area on Saturday. (8/3) We have been looking online, but have been unsuccessful (imagine that).

Found one at Don McGill off I-10 in Houston.

This crap that Gulf States Toyota pulled on the TE pricing is why I flew up to Denver to buy mine. The out the door price was still several thousand less than that sticker price and I got a nice vacation out of it.

That's funny, the lexis dealership two doors down only charged $200 for an IS 250 to get full tenting.

I've seen plenty but 99.9% of them are being driven by people who don't really understand what it is they are actually driving. Even the times where I've tried to make small talk in parking lots or at the gas pump, the people have no clue what I'm talking about when discussing the 4Runners. Such a shame.

I never had a problem bargaining with the local Houston dealers. Just gotta know how to work them. I got my '11 4Runner $26K out the door in March this year and before that I got my '10 Tundra barely used (only 3K miles on it) for $28K out the door in 2010. LOL

[MENTION=98511]98tiger[/MENTION] -- There are two 2013 TE's at Fred Anderson Toyota in Charleston. One Salsa and one Black. I saw the black one the other day, and it had KDSS too. $42k. Looks like you are buying a used one though...

Snooperstyle, looking for a used one is difficult in the south. In my searching, only found 3, but none black - got a good deal on one from up north. The only local '13 TE I've seen was a white one at Jim Barkley Toyota up in Asheville.

But point being I have yet to see one actually "on the road" in Upcountry SC or western NC.
