Even though I know black wheels would look better on my Trail, it's hard to trade out a wheel on a model that isn't made any more. I guess i'm biased too. But they did look a lot better once I put the ATIIs on.
Always have the option to have the stock trail wheels powder coated

Yeah I gave up on both of those places. Cherokee Toyota will price match DT anyway and they've done well for me so far.
has anyone blacked out or gunmetal gray the OEM Trail/Off Road wheels??
Current wavering on what to do with my OEM Off Road rims.
I bought the T4R with OEM rims but 285/70R17 Repuslor tires from RBP.
I see a post above that 285 needs to stay on the Off Road rims.
I just posted this very same question. What did the powder coating run you for the 4 wheels??
So the TRD-Off Road rims are 7.5" and can accommodate 285s the TRD PRO wheels are 7" and 285s are not recommended.
all anyone's ever said is that that tire manufacturers' recommended wheel width for 285s+ is generally 7.5"+ and that the TRD Pro wheel's 7" width is out of spec according to their recommendations. that's not theory, that's fact.I ran 285x70r17 on the 7” wide TRD Pro rims for years, regularly airing down to 12 psi and wheeled some of the toughest terrains on the east coast with zero issues. Anyone who says otherwise is living in theory.
That said I recently moved to 35x10.5s. Yup, still on the original rims..

TRDP wheels are obviously better, why do you think every non-TRDP owner runs out to buy them and every other TRDP part immediately after they leave the dealership? (sw)
