Trailer wiring problem on my 2000 4Runner Ltd

I have no idea why all of a sudden I'm having issues, but my trailer wiring is all batty suddenly. I put a meter on the connector it and it seems that I'm getting voltage on the white/ground wire when the running lights are on. Is this normal? I'm thinking not... I'm not getting any lights to go on except for a four led's in the tail lights on the trailer. Which is very weird because all of the lights are supposed to be on, not just four led's in each light. When I put my blinker on, both lights in the back flash. I have no idea what to do here folks and I'm supposed to be using my trailer tomorrow afternoon! Can someone help?

I did cut the white/ground wire and put it directly to ground and no change in anything. I cut it because I recently replaced the 4 pin plug as it was going bad.

I figured out the source of my problem... there's a 5-way junction box in front of the drivers side tail light and the ground broke off. I reconnected it but now nothing works. So either the box is fried or a fuse blew somewhere. Anyone know if there is a fuse for the trailer light harness? Thanks!
